2. You need to have an active Access bank account accompanied with a registered number.

3. Internet connection is required, Token/Transaction PIN, Email or mobile phone number registered with the bank this is required for receipt of your one time password (OTP).

What you need to start transacting on access bank mobile banking platform:

To start using the mobile banking app, you need to first activate your app using hard/soft token issued by Access bank or a transaction pin obtained by activating your account using your debit card.

However, to start using your mobile app for financial transactions such as transfers and bills payment you need to first activate your app using hardware/soft token issued by Access Bank or a transaction PIN at any Access Bank branch.

The registration process should take less than 5 minutes. Your account details are automatically verified before you begin the process, thereby making it possible to view your account details once registration is completed.

Note: If you have hard/soft token, you can activate your device immediately and begin performing transactions. If you do not own a token, you can activate your app using your debit card details to get a transaction pin.

You can obtain your PIN at any Access Bank branch, as well by inputting your debit card credentials on the app where provided.

How secure is the Access bank mobile banking app?

Access bank has given a lot of attention to protect your account on this mobile banking application.

The application is password protected. Your password is uniquely linked to the access bank mobile banking application on your device, which implies you can only access your account from your device.

Transactions on your mobile banking app are also validated by either a token or a transaction pin which is known to you alone.

These are in addition to other security measures, which the bank has put behind the scene to ensure that your transaction information is protected from intruders.

What happens if I lose my PIN?

You may carry out a pin reset on the app. You can also call the Access Bank contact centre on 01-2712005-7 or send an email to  contactcentre@accessbankplc.com to request for a new PIN.

What if I change my mobile device?

If you change your mobile device, the device will be locked, which means you will not be able to log in with your credentials/details, this is because you device has been mapped to your previous device.

To unlock device, select the option unlock device on the entry page of the app. Enter your account number, username and input your transaction PIN, an OTP will be sent to your registered number. Your new device will be unlocked after entering the OTP.

Maximum amount you can transfer:

You can transfer N500,000 per transaction, N2 Million per day. You can use the application as many times you want in a day.

Paying for your DSTV subscription:

Only the first 10 digits of your smart card number would be required, when you pay for your DSTV using the Access bank mobile banking application. Ensure that there are no spaces between the digits of the smart card number.

Definition of terms:

Authentication code– This is the 6 digits code that validates your details during registration on the Access bank mobile banking app. It is sent via SMS to your registered phone number with the bank.

Hardware/soft token– This is a security device that displays an 8 digit passcode issued by the bank to ensure that only transactions originated by an account holder through the internet mobile banking channels can be accessed for processing.

Transaction PIN: This is a 4 to 6 digit code that is used to complete transactions on your Access bank mobile banking app. Should be kept secret at all time.

Login ID: This is a unique name you provide during registration on the mobile app.

How to unlock Access Bank mobile app

If you  already have a profile on access bank internet banking platform, you can use the same login details for the mobile app.

But if you don’t, you can register to obtain login detail (Login ID and password).

  • Open access mobile app.
  • Tap on Sign Up.
  • Go through the Terms & Conditions and Agree.
  • Enter your 10-digit Nuban account number.
  • You will receive an authentication code on alertz number and email.
  • Input the code into the provided space and follow the on-screen guide to complete the registration process.

Once you are done with the registration, you need to unlock the device. This makes almost impossible for anyone to login to your profile on another phone.

  • Tap on unlock device.
  • Input your user ID and account number.
  • Enter your transaction PIN.
  • You should receive a success notification.
  • Go back to the login page and sign in using User ID and Password or User ID and Fingerprint.
