  • Tap on “Move money”
  • Click on “Move your direct deposit”
  • Select the “Get completed form” so as to get an email copy of your Chime account number, routing number, and a voided check.

Alternatively, you can set up a direct deposit on the Chime website as follows;

  • Having arrived on the website, click on “Move money” from here you can view your Chime routing and account numbers through which your payroll or benefit contributor will send your deposit (You will need to send them both the routing number and the account number)
  • You may choose to “Print” or “Download” to obtain a direct deposit form, you are required to submit the form to your provider better still attach it to an email.

Note: Most times your payroll or benefit provider may require the bank address, in this case kindly give them the name and address of Chime partner bank that keeps your deposits (Stride Bank N.A, 324 Broadway Ave Enid, OK 73701 or The Bankcorp Bank, 6100 S Old Village Pl, Sioux Falls, SD 57108)

2. Add money to Chime card via Cash deposit

You can deposit cash to Chime at over 90,000 retail locations in the United States. Ask the sales assistant to make a deposit to your Chime account. You can deposit thrice a day and up to $1,000 daily until you hit a maximum deposit of $10,000.

Having completed a deposit, the fund will be available in your Chime account within 2 hours, while you may incur certain fees for this service at retail locations, Walgreens locations as well as Duane Reade will offer this service for free.

3. Bank transfer via Chime mobile app or website

You will need to link your external bank account to your Chime app first.

From the Chime app

  • Tap on “Move money”
  • Click “Transfers”

  • Sign in to the bank website
  • Add your Chime account information (routing number and account number used for direct deposit)
  • Click on “Move money” to find your routing and account number.

There’s no maximum daily or dollar limit for this transaction, your deposit will be received within 3 business days from the time the transfer was completed.

5. Add money to Chime with Debit card

You can send money to your Chime account/card by linking an external account then add your debit card number, having done this money can be transferred with ease.

6. Mobile check deposit

As a Chime user, you can request to enable check deposits, however, approval to this request will be based on the following conditions;

Chime cash deposit fee/limits

You have a window to add up to $1,000 every 24 hours for a maximum of $10,000 every month. Chime does not have minimum balance, monthly fees or deposit fees.

Chime deposit takes up to 5 business days from the date the transfer was initiated (Monday – Friday) excluding federal holidays.

Bank transfers from an external account are typically received within 3 business days from the date the transfer was initiated by the originating bank.
