CBN DGs, MPC newly confirmed members Assume duty. The newly deputy Governors of Central Bank Aisha Ahmad and Edward Adamu alongside the Monetary Policy Committee have assumed duty after being confirmed by the senate, they resumed on Wednesday.
In the same capacity, the three members of (MPC) Monetary Policy Committee in the person of Adenikinju Adeola, Robert Asogwa and Aliyu Sanusi as well assumed offices on Wednesday to get the activities of the apex bank running in its full capacity.
In his remark, the CBN governor Godwin Emefiele welcomed and congratulated the new members of the Deputy governors, and the MPC on their appointment by President Muhammad Buhari.
The deputy governors in charge of operations and financial system stability in the persons of Adebayo Adelabu and Joseph Okwu Nnenna expressed happiness that the bank can now boast of full complement of deputy governors to enhance its optimal operations.

Emefiele through Adebayo and Nnenna charged the newly appointed members to bring their experiences in discharging of their duties and responsibilities, citing that a lot is expected from them.
The director Monetary Policy Department, Moses Tule, read out the charter of the MPC to new members before they forge ahead into the MPC retreat, in view of MPC meeting 2018 scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday 3rd and 4th respectively.
